Sympathy Box Creation

When our dad/husband passed away at the end of 2023, our world changed in an instant. Not long after, my mom/Carol was diagnosed with cancer. It was one of the hardest seasons of our lives — full of grief, fear, and uncertainty.

But during that time, something beautiful happened, too. We were surrounded by love. Friends, family, and neighbors reached out. We received meals, flowers, thoughtful notes, and care packages. The kindness meant everything.

Still, we realized something: even though people wanted to help, it was hard to know what to give someone going through such deep loss or pain. We searched for something that felt comforting, lasting, and a little different — but we couldn’t quite find what we were looking for.

So, we created it.

Our Sympathy Box was born out of that experience. It's a gentle offering for anyone grieving — not just a gift, but a moment of peace. Each box includes a puzzle designed to be calming and reflective, a soothing candle to create warmth and comfort, and a soft blanket to few help rest and heal. No pressure. No fixing. Just a quiet way to say, I’m thinking of you.

We hope this box helps make showing up for someone — in the midst of heartbreak — a little easier, and a little more meaningful.
